Basketball Recap: Aledo Gets the Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Aledo took on Fossil Ridge on Tuesday. The Aledo Bearcats had just enough and edged the Fossil Ridge Panthers out 42-39. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bearcats also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2017.

The victory made it two in a row for Aledo and bumps their season record up to 13-10. As for Fossil Ridge, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-7.

Aledo and Fossil Ridge should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Aledo (ranked 213th) will meet Saginaw (ranked 572nd) at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fossil Ridge will challenge Chisholm Trail at 1:15 p.m. on Friday up 253 places (82 vs. 335).
