Mars has gone a perfect 4-0 against Highlands recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Fightin' Planets will be playing at home against the Golden Rams at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mars took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against Freeport by a score of 7-2. The Fightin' Planets haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Highlands beat Knoch 4-1 on Wednesday.

Highlands saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sal Barbarino, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases Barbarino has posted since back in April of 2024. Carson Mcgraw was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Highlands' victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Mars, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Everything went Mars' way against Highlands in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, as Mars made off with a 13-4 win. Will the Fightin' Planets repeat their success, or do the Golden Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
