Basketball Game Preview: Brown County Eagles vs. Northview Knights

Brown County is 1-7 against Northview since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Brown County Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Northview Knights at 7:30 p.m.

Brown County is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 84 points on Friday, they were much more limited against Greencastle on Saturday. They were outmatched by the Tiger Cubs and fell 67-26. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Northview had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They came out on top against the Braves by a score of 53-45. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Braves are ranked 159th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northview's win came from a few key players Brown County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brayden Goff, who posted 14 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Avery Perry was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards.

Brown County's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Northview, they pushed their record up to 18-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
