With a playoff win on the line, Saugus rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 22-3 margin over the Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves. The Centurions' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Zackery Seeley, who fired off two home runs, nine RBI, and three runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Haag, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.

Saugus always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .604. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Saugus' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-12. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 18-11 record.

Looking ahead, Saugus will take on Murrieta Mesa at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Wiseburn- Da Vinci does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
