Recap: Union Local Jets vs. St. Clairsville Red Devils
The Union Local Jets pushed their score all the way to 66 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of St. Clairsville by a score of 68-66. Union Local was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as St. Clairsville apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Several Jets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gannon Kerns, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Moore, who scored 21 points.
Union Local's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for St. Clairsville, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union Local will face off against Bellaire at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bellaire focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday. As for St. Clairsville, they will head out on the road to face off against Beaver at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
