Softball Game Preview: Foothill Falcons vs. Clark Chargers

The Foothill Falcons will square off against the Clark Chargers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Foothill has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Foothill heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Thursday. They fell just short of Legacy by a score of 12-11. The Falcons' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Hailey Gilbertson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Kendall Miller was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Meanwhile, Clark came up short against Desert Oasis on Wednesday and fell 8-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Chargers in their meetings with the Diamondbacks: they've now lost eight in a row.

Foothill now has a losing record of 10-11-1. As for Clark, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8-1.

Everything went Foothill's way against Clark in their previous meeting back in April of 2019, as Foothill made off with a 15-0 victory. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chargers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
