Soccer Game Preview: East Lincoln vs. Stuart W. Cramer

The East Lincoln Mustangs will head out to take on the Stuart W. Cramer Storm at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (East Lincoln has six straight wins, Stuart W. Cramer has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

East Lincoln barely beat Foard the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. East Lincoln blew past Foard 5-2 on Thursday. Considering East Lincoln have won six contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Foard with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Stella Lubowicz (2), McKenzie Benfield, Lila Furner, and Sydney Dann.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Stuart W. Cramer's offense. They came up short against Forestview on Thursday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Stuart W. Cramer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 317th, while Forestview are ranked 104th).

East Lincoln's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four games. As for Stuart W. Cramer, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
