Benson had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They put the hurt on the Desert Christian Eagles with a sharp 12-4 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-5 back in March.

The victory got Benson back to even at 9-9-1. As for Desert Christian, they moved to 4-8 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Benson will square off against Willcox at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Desert Christian, they will face off against Tombstone at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellow Jackets have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
