Basketball Game Preview: Gibbs Gladiators vs. Seminole Warhawks

The Gibbs Gladiators will take on the Seminole Warhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Gibbs knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 contests -- so hopefully Seminole likes a good challenge.

Gibbs is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 92-39 victory over Island Coast. The Gladiators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 22 points or more this season.

Bobby Crawford was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 27 points and ten boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 62% in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Oneal Delancy, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 14 points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Gibbs was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Seminole beat Booker 53-48 on Wednesday.

Seminole has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points over those games. As for Gibbs, their record now sits at 24-4.

Gibbs and Seminole were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but Gibbs came up empty-handed after a 57-56 defeat. Can Gibbs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
