Baseball Recap: St. John Paul II Catholic Starts Season with Victory Against Anthem Prep

St. John Paul II Catholic gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Anthem Prep Eagles. The win was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

The result came thanks to Wyatt Bacome's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024.
