Baseball Recap: Seton Catholic Has No Trouble Against Anderson Prep Academy

After losing to Anderson Prep Academy the last time they met, Seton Catholic decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Jets on Tuesday.

Tyson Tremain spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up ten Ks. Seton Catholic is 2-1 when Tremain posts eight or more strikeouts, but 1-3 otherwise.

At the plate, Joe Thomas was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That hit marked the first that he has got this season. Another player making a difference was Jake Himes, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Seton Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Anderson Prep Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Seton Catholic will venture away from home to square off against Cambridge City Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Golden Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Anderson Prep Academy, they will welcome Irvington Preparatory Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
