Football Recap: Lexington Skates Past Hearne with Ease + How To Watch

Lexington never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Hearne 37-0. Considering Lexington has won four games by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Kase Evans was his usual excellent self, throwing for 130 yards and three TDs, while also punching in one score on the ground. Weston Bayer was in the mix too, providing Lexington with two touchdowns.

Lexington didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lincoln Bryan and Robert Kellenberger. Lexington got some further help from Gabe Turner: he picked up a sack and made five total tackles (3.0 for loss).

The victory keeps Lexington at an undefeated 5-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.6 points on average this season. As for Hearne, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Lexington will head out to square off against Caldwell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 46.25 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hearne, after each having a week off, they and Centerville will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. The Eagles are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
