Baseball Recap: Crimson Cliffs Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Dixie

Crimson Cliffs faced Dixie in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Flyers by a score of 9-8. The Mustangs have struggled against the Flyers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

MCKAY WRIGHT made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was AUSTIN SMITH, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Crimson Cliffs' loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Dixie, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-9.

As of now, neither Crimson Cliffs nor the Flyers have any future games scheduled.
