Softball Game Preview: Moss Point Tigers vs. Pascagoula Panthers

Moss Point is on a four-game streak of home losses also dating back to last season, Pascagoula an eight-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers face off against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. Pascagoula took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Moss Point, who comes in off a win.

Moss Point headed into their last matchup having not scored more than two runs for four straight, but Our Lady Academy let them put that streak behind them. Moss Point came out on top against Our Lady Academy by a score of 16-13 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Crescents: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Pascagoula came up short against Biloxi on Monday and fell 11-7.

Asante Dawson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Dextiny Combs, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Pascagoula's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Moss Point, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
