Basketball Game Preview: Castor Tigers vs. Doyline Panthers

Castor is 1-9 against Doyline since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Castor Tigers duke it out with the Doyline Panthers at 7:30 p.m.

Castor is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2024 on Friday. They lost 71-45 to Simsboro.

Meanwhile, Doyline strolled past Weston with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 75-59. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Wolves are ranked 334th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Doyline pushed their record up to 18-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Castor, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.

Castor lost to Doyline on the road by a decisive 64-45 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Castor avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
