Basketball Recap: Littleton Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Littleton took on D'Evelyn on Friday. The Littleton Lions were outmatched by the D'Evelyn Jaguars and fell 58-22. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-12.

Despite the loss, Littleton still got an impressive performance from Mariah Stitt, who posted 12 points and three steals.

D'Evelyn found their leader in sophomore Colleen Monahan, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave Monahan a new career-high in boards. Giada Lampert was another key player, putting up 11 points and five steals.

Littleton's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for D'Evelyn, they pushed their record up to 14-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Littleton has already played their next contest, a 43-28 defeat against Jefferson Academy on the 25th. As for D'Evelyn, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 47-23 win against Brighton on the 25th.
