Soccer Game Preview: Mt. Rainier vs. Auburn Riverside

For the first time this season, Mt. Rainier will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Friday. They are headed away from home for the first time to take on the Auburn Riverside Ravens at 7:30 p.m.

Mt. Rainier is headed out to face Auburn Riverside after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Mt. Rainier walked away with a 3-1 win over Peninsula on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Auburn Riverside was forced to settle for a draw. They and Bonney Lake finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Tuesday.

Connor Watson was the only thing that stood between Auburn Riverside and a shutout considering he scored both of Auburn Riverside's goals, bringing his season total up to three goals.

Mt. Rainier was able to grind out a solid victory over Auburn Riverside in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mt. Rainier since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
