Preview: Florence Buffaloes vs. Thrall Tigers
The Florence Buffaloes are on the road again on Friday and play against the Thrall Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on December 15th. Florence will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1489th, while Thrall is ranked 219th).
Last Tuesday, Florence came up short against Johnson City and fell 44-36.
Meanwhile, Thrall put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Non Varsity Opponent on the road to the tune of 76-42. Considering Thrall has won 12 matchups by more than 19 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Florence's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-8. As for Thrall, their victory bumped their record up to 13-0.
Florence took a serious blow against Thrall in their previous meeting on Saturday, falling 53-21. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Florence was down 30-7.
