Softball Recap: Flowing Wells Comes Up Short

Flowing Wells was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Casa Grande Cougars, falling 19-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Caballeros of the 6-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Yesenia Solano and Karlyn Felix stepped up to the plate in a big way. Solano went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Felix went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Felix has posted since back in March of 2024.

Flowing Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Casa Grande, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Flowing Wells wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 8-6 victory against Maricopa on the 19th. As for Casa Grande, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-3 win against Douglas on the 13th.
