 Prairie lost a close one when they played  on Wednesday but unfortunately for them the  defeat they were handed  on Wednesday was a bit more commanding. Their  tough  11-2 loss to the Caliche Buffaloes  might stick with them for a while. Prairie just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
 Prairie saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Beau Carlson, who  went 1-for-2 with a  double.
 On Caliche's side,  the team  relied heavily on  Avery Bell, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Bell is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games he's  played.  Ayden Ring was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
 Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Caliche, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-9.
 Prairie will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Briggsdale at 1:00  p.m. Briggsdale is coming into the  matchup with six straight  defeats on the road,  meaning Prairie will have to defend against a  squad hungry for a  victory. As for Caliche, they will  face off against Holyoke at 2:00  p.m.  on Monday.
