Soccer Game Preview: Canyon vs. East Central

The Canyon Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the East Central Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Canyon is headed into Tuesday's contest following a draw, the team's first since the 9th. They and Clemens finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Friday.

Meanwhile, East Central played in-conference for the first time on Friday and got just the result they were looking for. They had just enough and edged out San Marcos 3-2. The victory was all the more spectacular given East Central's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 307th, while San Marcos are ranked 93rd).

East Central's win bumped their record up to 6-4-2. Canyon's draw makes their record 8-2-2 this season.
