Baseball Game Preview: Gettysburg Warriors vs. Lower Dauphin Falcons

The Gettysburg Warriors will face off against the Lower Dauphin Falcons at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.

Things were looking good for Gettysburg after they put the first runs on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Palmyra by a score of 4-3. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Lower Dauphin had just enough and edged out Central Dauphin East 3-2 on Thursday. The three-run effort marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Lower Dauphin's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Gettysburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.

Gettysburg came out on top in a nail-biter against Lower Dauphin in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
