Preview: Clifton Cubs vs. Grandview Zebras
Clifton is 1-6 against Grandview since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Clifton Cubs will look to defend their home court against the Grandview Zebras at 6:15 p.m. Hopefully Clifton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Clifton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 38-32 to Keene.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Meagan Henderson, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Laylah Gaona, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Grandview beat West 44-38 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Grandview.
Clifton's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-11. As for Grandview, they pushed their record up to 23-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
