Basketball Recap: Tallavana Christian Takes a Loss

Tallavana Christian suffered their biggest defeat since December 3, 2024 on Saturday. They were outmatched by the FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers and fell 82-51. The Lion haven't had much luck with the Baby Rattlers recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Tallavana Christian lost, don't look at Frederick Glenn. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points. That was a full 35.3% of Tallavana Christian's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Glenn, who had 11 points.

FAMU DRS's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaydence Triggs, who went 11 of 15 on his way to 24 points. Adrian Tilford also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Tallavana Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for FAMU DRS, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-14.

Tallavana Christian has already played their next matchup, a 64-42 defeat against Altha on the 27th. As for FAMU DRS, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 72-32 win against Community Christian on the 27th.
