Volleyball Recap: Wilbur-Creston-Keller Gets the Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Wilbur-Creston-Keller took on Timberlake on Saturday. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Tigers.

Rocksie Timentwa paced Wilbur-Creston-Keller's offense, picking up eight kills. Timentwa got some help from Callie Cousins and her 11 assists. Timentwa also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Emmaline Piturachsatit, racking up two apiece.

Wilbur-Creston-Keller's win bumped their record up to 3-1-1. As for Timberlake, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Wilbur-Creston-Keller is taking a road trip to challenge Almira-Coulee-Hartline at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Timberlake, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Priest River on the 15th.
