Soccer Recap: Hampton Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

While Hampton's win against Pine-Richland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Talbots' defense stepped up to hand the Rams a 1-0 shutout on Saturday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Hampton's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while Pine-Richland are ranked 202nd).

The victory (which was Hampton's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four games. As for Pine-Richland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4-2.

Looking ahead, Hampton will venture away from home to take on Indiana at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pine-Richland, they will face off against North Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
