Soccer Recap: Union Pines Takes a Loss

If Union Pines was riding high fresh off their 14-0 takedown of Scotland last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Union Pines Vikings took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carrboro Jaguars on Wednesday. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Union Pines' goal came courtesy of Grace Queen, who's now up to nine this season.

Union Pines' loss dropped their record down to 5-2-1. As for Carrboro, they pushed their record up to 5-0-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Union Pines wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Richmond on the 14th. As for Carrboro, they will take on South Granville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Carrboro is facing South Granville at the right time seeing as South Granville is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
