While East Central didn't have the best season last year (they finished 17-23), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the MacArthur Brahmas 2-1. This was payback for the Hornets, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, MacArthur still got an impressive performance from Sadie Becho, who had 13 digs.

The victory made it two in a row for East Central and bumps their season record up to 10-2. As for MacArthur, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-4 record.

East Central has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Pioneer on the 22nd. As for MacArthur, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Edinburg on the 22nd.
