Baseball Recap: Pinson Valley Takes a Loss

While it was Pinson Valley who put the first points on the board on Saturday, it was Parker who put up more. Pinson Valley fell just short of Parker by a score of 6-5. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jaylon Sharpe made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. He has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Justice Lockwood, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Pinson Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Parker, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-9.

Looking ahead, Pinson Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Talladega at 9:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Parker, they will head out to challenge Blount at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
