Basketball Recap: Biggs Piles Up the Points Against Valley

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Center, Biggs was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the Valley Vikings 74-19. The contest marked the Wolverines' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Biggs was led to victory by Hunter Seipert and Brady Smith. Seipert went 7 for 11 on his way to 18 points in addition to six assists and six steals, while Smith went 9 for 17 on his way to 20 points in addition to seven assists and seven steals. Seipert has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Skyler Long, who posted eight points in addition to four steals and three blocks.

Biggs moved to 6-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Valley, they are on a 37-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Biggs will take on Los Molinos at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Valley, they will head out to challenge Golden Sierra at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Golden Sierra is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season.
