Soccer Recap: Hazleton Area Beats Wyoming Valley West for Their Second Straight Victory

With a playoff win on the line, Hazleton Area rose to the challenge on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wyoming Valley West Spartans a 7-0 shutout. Ryleigh Snyder was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

The victory made it two in a row for Hazleton Area and bumps their season record up to 7-11-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two matches. As for Wyoming Valley West, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14-2.
