The Liberty Hawks will face off against the Fowler Redcats at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Liberty's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Sierra as they made off with a 24-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Hawks, who have now won six matchups in a row.
Katie Bandy tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Trinity Cervantes, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-5. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Leilah Uriarte, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
Liberty always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .707. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Fowler waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They blew past the Eagles 21-2.
Izzy Lopez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Lopez was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with four runs, two triples, and three RBI.
In other batting news, Danika Serrano was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Andreya Mendoza, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Fowler pushed their record up to 19-4-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.1 runs over those games. As for Liberty, their record is now 16-7.
Everything went Liberty's way against Fowler when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Liberty made off with a 6-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
