Basketball Recap: Hunter-Tannersville Takes a Loss

Hunter-Tannersville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 64-17 loss at the hands of the Bolton Central Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 787th, while the Eagles are ranked 188th).

Bolton Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sullivan Eager, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Jace Hubert, who went 5 of 10 en route to 11 points.

Hunter-Tannersville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Bolton Central, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.

Hunter-Tannersville has already played their next contest (against South Kortright Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bolton Central will welcome Boquet Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Bolton Central has won five straight at home dating back to last season, while Boquet Valley won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
