Red Mountain faced Williams Field in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Mountain Lions narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Black Hawks 6-4. That's more bragging rights for the Mountain Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Luke Ritchie was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Keith Price, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Red Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Williams Field, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-9.

Looking ahead, Red Mountain will be playing at home against Westwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Williams Field, they will square off against Higley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
