Baseball Recap: Fairfield Central Comes Up Short

Fairfield Central had lost five straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 7-18 to make it six. They came up short against the Buford Yellow Jackets, falling 13-3. That's two games in a row now that the Griffins have lost by exactly ten runs.

Mason Neums made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and two runs.

As for Buford, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 16-10. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

On Buford's side, Easton Rollings was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs Rollings has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Mills, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Fairfield Central nor Buford have any future games scheduled.
