Holly Springs never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Green Level Gators with a sharp 6-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Hawks in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won seven in a row.

Jake Cackovic was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Cackovic wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Noah Rhoades, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Holly Springs hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Green Level struck out eight times.

Holly Springs' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Green Level, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6.
