Nogales came into Wednesday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Southlands Christian Eagles on Wednesday, sneaking past 51-48. The Nobles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Nogales' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Southlands Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Nogales will host Ontario at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Nogales is facing Ontario at the right time seeing as Ontario is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Southlands Christian, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Southlands Christian Eagles take on the Santa Ana Valley Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
