Volleyball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Comes Up Short

If Grace Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of White Academy on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams fell just short of the West Rebels by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rebels earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Grace Christian Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 20-25, 26-24.

Kendall Stansbury paced Grace Christian Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Stansbury got some help from Ella Draper and her 21 assists. Emery Brannick controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Grace Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for West, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-14 record this season.

Grace Christian Academy will welcome Knoxville T at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West, they will take on Berean Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
