Football Recap: Mae Jemison Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Mae Jemison challenged Southside on Friday. The Jaguars took a 22-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Jaguars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Southside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Christian Morris led the charge by throwing for 112 yards and two touchdowns. The Panthers also got a significant boost from Miles Rickles, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 91 yards.

Mae Jemison now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Southside, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season.

Mae Jemison has already played their next contest, a 12-7 victory against Decatur on the 9th. As for Southside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 21-15 loss against Buckhorn on the 10th.
