Softball Game Preview: MacDonald Condor vs. Hill Falcons

The MacDonald Condor will square off against the Hill Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. MacDonald will be strutting in after a win while Hill will be coming in after a defeat.

MacDonald took a loss when they played away from home on March 3rd, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed two weeks ago. Everything went their way against Mt. Pleasant as MacDonald made off with a 17-7 victory. Considering the Condor's hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Ileyah Sanchez was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Sanchez was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ailyn Oliveros, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Aariyah Quinonez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against San Jose, falling 21-8.

Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for MacDonald, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
