Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Crane Medical's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Crane Medical had won two straight road games and Jamier Montgomery did his part to make it three on Thursday. The Crane Medical Cougars took down the Bogan Bengals 79-64 thanks in part to Montgomery, who went 8 of 11 on his way to 19 points and six assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Another player making a difference was Brad Blackman, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted three or more in the last 14 games he's played.

Crane Medical is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Bogan, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.

Crane Medical didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-47 win against Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus on the 25th. As for Bogan, they will challenge Farragut at 5:00 p.m. on January 30th.
