Baseball Recap: Arnett Comes Up Short

The Arnett Wildcats lost 8-2 to the Merritt Oilers on Saturday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Arnett's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Merritt, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season.

Arnett and Merritt could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. Arnett (ranked 324th) will meet Seiling (ranked 115th) at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Merritt will face off against Navajo at 4:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (348 vs. 78).
