Basketball Recap: Todd County's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Todd County can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Saturday. They blew past the Chamberlain Cubs 66-43. The score was all tied up 21-21 at the break, but the Falcons were the (much) better team in the second half.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Todd County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chris Ellert, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance also gave Ellert a new career-high in assists (three). Tylen Valandra was another key player, going 8 for 15 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds.

The win got Todd County back to even at 1-1.

Todd County will take on Lakota Tech in a tournament on Wednesday. As for Chamberlain, they will head out to take on Gregory at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
