Recap: Athens Indians vs. Litchfield Terriers
This season hasn't been kind to the Athens Indians, who are still winless after their 14th contest. They lost to Litchfield on the road by a decisive 63-49 margin on Tuesday. If Athens was looking for revenge after losing 80-51 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Despite the loss, Athens still got an impressive performance from Addison Stanton, who scored 13 points along with two steals. It was the first time this season that Stanton grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kale Kiefer, who scored 14 points.
Athens dropped their record down to 0-14 with that defeat, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Litchfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Athens will challenge the Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Mendon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Thursday. As for Litchfield, they will head out on the road to face off against the Redskins at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
