Two dominant backs in Bodie Zamorano and Easton Conner are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Horizon Huskies will venture away from home to take on the Desert Mountain Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Horizon is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Highland, who was ranked 16th at the time (Horizon was ranked 22nd). The Huskies took a 24-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks on Friday. While the Huskies didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hawks 7-0 in the first quarter.

Horizon's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of James Klopfenstien, who gained 113 total yards and a touchdown, and Dylan Brush, who rushed for 38 yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Desert Mountain entered their tilt with Chaparral on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 16-6 win over the Firebirds.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed ten in total. All those points came courtesy of Koen Bradley: he added nine points with three field goals and another on an extra-point kick.

Desert Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Horizon, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Horizon beat Desert Mountain 21-10 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
