Basketball Recap: Glen Burnie Takes a Loss

Glen Burnie was the 59-23 winner over Laurel when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Glen Burnie Gophers took a 44-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Laurel Spartans. The Gophers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Glen Burnie's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Laurel, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glen Burnie will challenge Annapolis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Annapolis will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Glen Burnie surely won't give up without a fight. Laurel has already played their next matchup (against Wise), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
