Baseball Game Preview: Lindblom Eagles vs. Jones Eagles

Lindblom is 2-8 against Jones since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Lindblom is taking a road trip to challenge Jones at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lindblom is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Friday. They lost 20-2 to Morgan Park.

Ajani Liddell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those stolen bases marked the first that he has snagged this season.

Meanwhile, while it was Jones who put the first runs on the board on Friday, it was Simeon who put up more. The Eagles came up short against the Wolverines, falling 8-1. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Wolverines since on Friday.

Gio Delgado was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits.

On the hitting side, Jones saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christophe DeWijkerslooth, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Jones has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for Lindblom, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.

Lindblom might still be hurting after the 9-3 loss they got from Jones in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can Lindblom avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
