Interlake turns things around after tough road loss

There's no place like home for the Interlake Saints, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Lake Washington by a score of 70-57 on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

It was another big night for Shelton Henton, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it 16 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Interlake's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Doliov, who scored 12 points.

Interlake's lineup was just a bit different on Monday as Emmett Roth got a bit more time on the court (nine vs. his season average of 4.9). Roth made the most of the opportunity, scoring eight points. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Interlake's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Lake Washington, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-9.

Interlake will face off against Mercer Island at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Interlake is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.9 points per game this season. As for Lake Washington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hazen at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lake Washington is facing Hazen at the right time seeing as Hazen is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
