Football Recap: Linn Wildcats vs. South Callaway Bulldogs
Linn had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-7 to make it eight. They were dealt a 58-14 defeat at the hands of the South Callaway Bulldogs. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 49-8 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Although Linn took the loss, they still got scores from Knox Sowders and Aaden Nelson.
As for South Callaway, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 26 points or more this season.
South Callaway's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aiden Jenkins, who rushed for 49 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 49 rushing yards gave Jenkins a new career-high. Another back making a difference was Ethan Munford, who rushed for 78 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.
Linn has already played their next game, a 50-6 loss against Harrisburg on the 24th. As for South Callaway, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 30-8 defeat against Tipton on the 24th.
