Volleyball Recap: Glenbard North Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Glenbard North can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Wheaton North Falcons on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Tuesday.

Wheaton North's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emily Rochford led the charge by getting six digs and four aces. Rochford is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served four or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Abby Lee, who had nine assists and five digs.

Glenbard North has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-15 record this season. As for Wheaton North, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 22-14.

Glenbard North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wheaton North, they will take on Glenbard West at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
